You can activate / redeem gamecards and prepaid cards fast and easily. Just log in to the appropriate platform (e.g. Xbox Live) and add the gamecard code or prepaid code to your account. The codes are immediately valid and ready for activation.

 

 

Please note that an active internet connection is required to activate Minigames. The registration code will be checked on an activation server of the provider.

 

If your game is not subject to a special case, you will be asked to enter a serial number during the installation process. Enter the serial number you have received from us to activate your purchased game.

Enter your personal data and create your own account.

 

Go to your email inbox and click the confirmation link in the email from Battle.net.

 

Your Battle.net account is now confirmed. Please go to account management. Click "Add game" on the left.

 

Enter your activation code which you have received from Gamesrocket via email. Then click "Activate game". Your game is now activated and you can start the download.

 

For some games, the publishers have decided to only make them available for download and activation via Steam. For this purpose, please follow these steps:

1. Create a new account
   Choose the option “create a new account“ or, if you already have an account, choose “log in to your account“
   

2. Conditions of use
   A window will open, showing the current conditions of use. Accept these by clicking on the button “I agree“
   

3. Creation of the account
   Choose your user name and password, then click on the button “Continue“
   

4. Email address
   Provide your email address and click “Continue“
   

5. Security question
   Choose a security question and provide the respective answer. This is needed to restore your password if you should lose it any time. After that, click "Continue“.
   

6. Account information
   You have successfully created your Steam account. You are now presented an overview of your account information. Please keep the account data in safe custody and do not pass it on to third parties!

After successful creation of your STEAM account, you can download and activate the purchased PC game. For this purpose, log in to Steam and follow these steps:

 

1. Click on the button “Add game“ in the bottom left corner
   

2. Now you can add the game you have purchased at Gamesrocket. Choose “Activate a product on STEAM“.
   

3. An information window will appear. Click on Continue“.
   

4. Agree to the Steam license agreement and click on “Continue“.
   

5. Enter the key you have received from Gamesrocket in order to activate the purchased PC Game.
   

6. You have successfully activated the purchased game. You can now start the installation process and conduct the download.

The Tages copy protection is implemented via a special driver. Without this driver, a game protected by Tages can not be used.

If it is not already in place, the Tages driver will be installed at first. For the Tages driver and the associated copy protection, the following information applies:

• No personal data is submitted for the activation

• Up to three activations are available. Registering again is only necessary if you re-install your operating system or the hardware configuration has been changed.

• After each installation of the operating system, a new activation must take place. If the hardware of your PC remains unaltered, the hash value will stay the same and no new activation will be used.

• If the activation servers should be deactivated, a patch will be released which removes the copy protection.

• An existent active internet connection is imperative for the activation.

• After the successful activation, no active internet connection is needed to play the game.

 

Generally, there are two different possibilities to activate games that are protected by Tages, the manual activation and the automatic activation:

Automatic activation (if an active internet connection is available)

Please choose the automatic activation if an internet connection is available.

 

1. Enter the serial number you have acquired from Gamesrocket.

2. Choose the option “I do not have an activation code. I want to receive one.“ and click "Continue“.

3. Choose “My internet connection is active ...“ and click “Continue“.

4. The activation is accomplished.

Now the automatic activation should successfully be carried into effect. If you have problems during the process or if the activation does not work, please use the manual activation.

Manual activation (if no internet connection is available)

 

Please choose the manual activation if problems occur during the automatic activation or no active internet connection is available.

 

1. Enter your activation code. The activation will be prepared. Click “Continue“.

2. Choose “I have not received an activation code. I want to get one.“ after the activation has been prepared and click “Continue“.

3. Choose the option “I do not have an active internet connection on this PC“ and click “Continue“.

4. Click on the blue HTML link in the bottom left.

5. Your web browser will open and a window will appear. You will see a code and the button “Load activation / Send request code“

6. Click the button and save the file on your hard disk. Alternatively, you can copy the code into a file and save it.

7. Start your game again and choose the option “I have received my active code online“, then click “Continue“.

8. Enter the character sequence from the saved file and click “Continue“.

For PC games published by Ubisoft you will need a user account with the UbiSoft Online Service at ubi.com. The registration and use is completely for free but will offer you some advantages. These include, for example:

• Unlimited number of installations

• Online synchronisation for saved games

• Exclusive rewards for PC games

As previously mentioned, you will need the UbiSoft Launcher as well as a valid account for the UbiSoft Online Services. Via the UbiSoft Launcher, your game is connected to the UbiSoft platform. You will need an active internet connection to activate your game. If the connection is interrupted, your PC game will be paused until the connection is restored.

The following games currently require the UbiSoft Launcher:

• Assassin's Creed 2

• Die Siedler 7

• Silent Hunter 5

• Splinter Cell Conviction

Some of the offered games are special cases concerning activation. These games can not be downloaded and activated in the usual way but must be obtained and activated on external platforms. This is not a guideline from our side but a decision made by the publisher.

• UbiSoft titles require a user account for the Ubisoft Online Service and need to be activated there.

• Activision Blizzard titles may need a Battle.net account and will be activated there

• For some titles, the download and activation takes place via Steam. You will need a Steam account for this purpose.

The special cases of the activation are not subject to our influence and decisions but are imperatively specified by the respective game publishers.

 

Many game developers protect their PC games from unauthorized distribution and reproduction. This can be accomplished by a number of ways, like the need for the CD to remain inserted to play the game or the demand to enter an activation code.

As you cannot purchase a CD at Gamesrocket but a download, the activation takes place in another way. The product activation for the games you purchased from us will be completed within a few seconds. Usually the transmitted serial number is sufficient. Quick and simple.
